Kindly go through the following reference: Original Equipment Manufacturer Most OEMs sell systems that include a standard build of the Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2 operating system. Microsoft is not responsible-what your vendor is saying is not correct. I'm stuck in the middle with no way to use the computer for work and no spare machine to work from!!! I don't know what else I can do to get this resolved. As I have Microsoft telling me it's not their fault and as it's an OEM version I need to talk to the vendor, meanwhile I have the vendor blaming Microsoft. I know it's not expensive to purchase a new copy, but this hints at a larger issue that is really annoying me. The shop basically said you need to purchase a new copy of Windows 10. The shop tells me it could have been a virus that stole the Product ID (I find this hard to believe as we are incredible careful with the links and websites we visit. We've never changed any hardware on the computer since purchase. I took the computer to the shop, they told me it's been blocked through multiple activation's. I called them, they state it is a miss-assigned product key and has been blocked, I should take the computer to the place of purchase and get them to provide a valid key. It's been running fine for two years, then in December Microsoft blocked the activation code on it. I purchased a Windows PC with Windows 7 Pro installed (OEM version).
